The concept for a.lure was simple: contemporary low-country cuisine, from the low country. Daniel Berman knew the best way to provide fresh “from-the-farm” taste was to do just that, get his meats, seafood, and produce locally as much as he could, and if not locally, then regionally.
Being positioned on the coast, Savannah offers a wide variety of seafood such as grouper, snapper, and blue crab, which means a.lure does, too. The seafood is caught by Savannah fisherman as well as brought in from surrounding areas such as Florida and the Carolinas.
Although a.lure specializes in seafood, we also offer a wide range of meats including steak, pork, and chicken. All of our meat comes from the Hunter Cattle farm in Statesboro, Georgia, where all livestock is natural, grass fed, and hormone-free.
So when you eat at a.lure, you know you aren’t just getting seafood and produce, but fresh seafood and produce from the low country. Because if you want a real, home-cooked low-country meal, it’s ingredients should be just as southern as the dish itself.
